Yesterday, deputy chief minister Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin made many heads turn when he inaugurated a modern fish market in the busy Chintadripet in Chennai. This fish market has been constructed at a cost of Rs 2.92 crore is known.
It is worthy to note that the Chintadripet fish market is one of the important fish markets in Chennai. A new fish market was constructed as there was an increase in the number of people visiting this fish market every day in Jothiammal Nagar in Chintadripet at Rs 2.92 cr. Singara Chennai 2.0 project and capital fund of Chennai Corporation have provided funds.
The building has 82 shops and it was built with facilities such as a roof with tensile construction to prevent damage due to storms etc. There is also a 28000 litre sewage collection tank to discharge fish waste plus systems for easy removal of garbage etc. In addition to these, there is also a 10555 liter capacity bio-digest system also here. It is known that bio-digest is a process that uses bacteria to decompose organic matter in an oxygen free environment to produce biogas and nutrient rich slurry.
The deputy chief minister Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin later inaugurated a skill development training centre at Triplicane in Chennai. This centre was constructed at a cost of Rs 2.04 crores. It is worthy to note that in the ground floor of this skill training centre building tailoring and beauty courses would be conducted free of cost for the benefit of 60 persons. In the first floor of this building, computer, tele training and skill development training centre for youths would be conducted. It is superb to mention here that those persons who complete their training successfully would be provided jobs.
