The Koyambedu vegetable and fruit markets will be closed on April 19th for voter registration during the Lok Sabha polling. This decision aims to ensure that the over 3,000 stores and more than 10,000 workers, engaged in various tasks such as lifting loads, driving pushcarts, managing accounts, and operating heavy vehicles, have the opportunity to vote without any obstacles. GD Rajasekar, President of the Federation of All Associations of Koyambedu Commercial Complex, announced the decision, emphasizing the importance of enabling market workers to exercise their voting rights without disruption.
