Chennai Beach - Tambaram Night EMU Trains to Resume Normal Service from Today

Railway officials have announced that night time electric train services between Chennai Beach and Tambaram will operate as usual from today.

Redevelopment work is currently underway at Chennai Egmore Railway Station at an estimated cost of around ₹842 crore. As part of this project, a large steel foot overbridge is being constructed to improve passenger convenience.

Night-Time Electric Trains Cancelled

Due to the ongoing construction work, night-time electric train services between Chennai Beach, Tambaram and Chengalpattu in both directions were cancelled from the 25th until yesterday, between 11:15 PM and 4:15 AM, for a period of five hours.

In this situation, railway officials have stated that night-time electric train services between Chennai Beach and Tambaram will resume normal operations from today.

Railway officials said, "The period during which the night-time electric trains were cancelled ended yesterday. Therefore, electric train services on this route will operate as usual. This arrangement will continue until the Railway Administration issues a new announcement regarding further changes to train services."
