Gold prices in Chennai recorded a sharp rise on April 14, 2026, increasing by ₹1,280 per sovereign (8 grams), just a day after a decline of ₹320.
According to the latest update, gold is now priced at ₹1,13,760 per sovereign and ₹14,220 per gram, reflecting an increase of ₹160 per gram compared to April 13, when prices stood at ₹1,12,480 per sovereign and ₹14,060 per gram.
Silver prices have also moved up, with the metal now selling at ₹265 per gram, marking an increase of ₹5 from the previous day’s rate of ₹260 per gram.
