Honda Recalls CB1000 Hornet SP Motorcycles Over Gear Shift Safety Issue

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced a recall of its premium CB1000 Hornet SP motorcycles as part of a global service campaign. The recall affects models manufactured in 2025.
According to the company, excessive heat generated from the exhaust system may soften the painted seat surface and cause the gear shift pedal bolt to loosen over time. This could lead to difficulty in shifting gears while riding.
To address the issue, Honda will begin free inspections and replacement of affected parts from January 2026 at its authorized service centers across the country.
In a statement, the company said the recall underscores Honda’s commitment to customer safety, trust, and overall ownership experience.
