A total of 1256 medical camps, 15 camps in Chennai - All important details about 2nd August beginning Nalam Kaakum Stalin scheme!!
Tomorrow, 2nd of August 2025, St Bede`s Anglo Indian School in Santhome in Chennai would be buzzing with activities.
On 2nd of August, The chief minister of TN Mr. M.K. Stalin would be inaugurating the Nalam Kaakum Stalin scheme in this famous school. It must be noted that a total of 1256 medical camps have been planned and out of that 1164 camps would take place in 388 blocks in 38 districts belonging to TN.
It is learnt that in Chennai Corporation alone there would be 15 medical camps or one camp per each zone. Twenty camps will be held in 5 zones with a population of more than 1 million at a rate of 4camps per corporation. Fifty seven camps will be held in 19 corporations having a population of less than one million at the rate of 3camps per population.
It is revealed that these medical camps would be chosen on priority basis and would be held in rural places having limited specialised medical facilities, slum areas and areas having a large number of tribals.
When will these medical camps be held?
Information gathered is that the medical camps would be held on Saturdays from 9am to 4pm across each district in TN.
In these camps, blood sugar tests and kidney function tests like urea/creatinine etc would be carried out and the results would be provided to the beneficiaries through SMS. In these camps, the beneficiaries would be provided with ear, nose, throat or ENT plus eye and dental checkups etc.
Moreover, as per the instructions issued by the medical practitioner various other tests like X-Ray, ECG, ultrasound scan, breast screening etc would be carried out. The public have been requested to attend the medical camps and get benefited.
