While those persons with health conditions like diabetes, heart disease etc are given huge importance, those with mental issues are usually ignored!!! Shocking but true!!
It is noteworthy that just like diabetes and heart disease etc mental health issues must be considered. Persons with mental health issues should not be ignored. These persons must be provided with medicines and treatment. It is our duty to reintegrate persons with mental issues with society.
In this scenario, rehabilitation training and job placement camps are being organised for those persons with mental health problems. It is really superb to note that nearly 400 such persons have registered for employment in several companies.

It is worthy to note that on 14th June 2025 at SCARF India office in Anna Nagar (Chennai) a special employment camp would be held. Those who are eligible for mental health treatment could take part in this upcoming camp.
It is amazing to mention that more than 20 organisations would be participating in the upcoming employment camp organised by Schizophrenia Research Foundation or SCARF. Till now, more than 200 people have made reservations to participate in this camp.
On Wednesday, 11th June 2025, SCARF organisation chairman Mr. R. Seshasayee, Vice chairman Dr. R. Thara and director Dr. R. Padmavati shared their views.
They mentioned that SCARF was founded in 1984 to protect those persons with mental health disorders and suicidal thoughts etc. They were of the view that similar to diabetes and heart diseases etc mental health issues must also be considered by the society.
