Review meeting at Chennai Secretariat regarding various road works - Important decision taken!!
Yesterday, at the Secretariat, a meeting took place under the deputy CM of Tamil Nadu Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin regarding road works carried out by various departments
It must be noted that in the meeting a detailed review of renovation of roads under the Highways department, municipal administration, drinking water supply department, rural and panchayat development etc was conducted by the deputy chief minister. In the meeting Mr. Udayanidhi Stalin instructed the officials to take steps and monitor the work. He spoke about the completion of renovation works before September month.
It is noteworthy that the deputy chief minister conducted a review of the complaints filed by the public through the Namma Salai App that has been implemented by the Highways department. He discussed the various measures taken to resolve them.
About Namma Salai app:
It is worthy to note that currently only those complaints that are filed by the public about Highways dept roads through Namma Salai app are being taken up. In future, steps must be taken to bring the road details of all the departments under this app. The deputy chief minister later mentioned that work regarding bringing all road details of the Highways dept under Namma Salai app must be completed within one month and then it must be made available for the public.
The review meeting saw the presence of some important personalities like municipal administration minister Mr. K.N. Nehru, Mr. Dayanidhi Maran, MP, Mr. Muruganandam, chief secretary and others.
