Tamil Nadu State Government promotes officials

The Tamil Nadu government on Monday promoted seven senior bureaucrats, including TNEB and Tangedco managing director K Gnandesikan, to the grade of chief secretary. An order to this effect was passed by chief secretary Mohan Verghese Chunkath. The officers included K Skandan (Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board), Ramesh Kumar Khanna (Tamil Nadu Maritime Board), C V Shankar (industries), Hemant Kumar Sinha (higher education), Leena Nair (Union ministry of commerce and industry) and T Prabhakara Rao (transport).
