A special e-KYC registration camp will be held at all ration shops across Tamil Nadu on Saturday, August 29, to help eligible ration card holders complete their Aadhaar-based verification.
The Tamil Nadu government has asked ration card holders who have not yet completed fingerprint-based e-KYC registration to make use of the special camp.
e-KYC Camp Timings
The special camp will be conducted at all fair price shops across Tamil Nadu from 9 AM to 5 PM on August 29.
The initiative is aimed at completing the Aadhaar verification process for all eligible beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act, 2013.
96.21% Verification Completed
According to the Tamil Nadu government, fingerprint-based verification of family members has been underway since October 2023.
So far, 96.21% of the e-KYC process for priority household ration cards has been completed. The government is now taking steps to achieve 100% completion.
Who Should Attend the e-KYC Camp?
Ration card holders whose family members have not yet completed fingerprint verification through the ration shop system are requested to visit their respective fair price shop during the special camp.
Beneficiaries can use the August 29 camp to complete their pending fingerprint-based e-KYC registration.
