Special Trains to Operate Between Chennai, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram for Festive Season

To facilitate the movement of passengers during the upcoming Ayudha Puja, Diwali and Chhath festivals, Southern Railway has announced the operation of special trains on key routes connecting Chennai, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram.

Mumbai- Chennai Special Train

A special train No. 01015 will depart from Mumbai CSMT at 12:35 AM on October 14, 21 and 28, and November 4, 11 and 18. The train will arrive at Chennai Beach at 11:30 PM on the same day.

In the return direction, special train No. 01016 will depart from Chennai Beach at 4:00 AM on October 15, 22 and 29, and November 5, 12 and 19. It will reach Mumbai CSMT at 4:05 AM the following day.

Mumbai–Thiruvananthapuram Special Train

Another special train, No. 01463, will operate from Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Thiruvananthapuram on October 15, 22 and 29, and November 5, 12 and 19.

The return service, Train No. 01464, will operate from Thiruvananthapuram to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on October 17, 24 and 31, and November 7, 14 and 21.

Ticket Reservations

Reservations for these special trains will open on Monday, September 28, at 8:00 AM.

Southern Railway announced the details in an official press release, stating that the special services have been introduced to meet the increased demand for travel during the festive season.
