Asia`s Leading Technology Event to Focus on ‘AI & Beyond’

The Government of Karnataka organised an industry meet in Chennai ahead of the 29th edition of Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2026, bringing together members of the city’s technology and business community to discuss collaboration opportunities and Karnataka’s growing technology ecosystem.

The Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026 is scheduled to take place from November 17 to 19, 2026, under the theme “AI & Beyond.” The event is being organised by the Department of Electronics, IT & Bt, Government of Karnataka, in association with Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).

Karnataka Highlights Technology and Innovation Opportunities

During the Chennai industry meet, Dr. N. Manjula, IAS, Secretary to Government, Department of Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T, Government of Karnataka, highlighted Karnataka’s technology ecosystem and opportunities for greater collaboration between industry stakeholders.

The event was attended by several prominent technology and industry representatives, including Subramaniam S.R., Director, STPI Chennai; Dr. Avinash Menon Rajendran, IAS, Director, Department of Electronics, IT & Bt and Managing Director, KITS, Government of Karnataka; Dr. P.M. Murali, Chairperson–Biotech Conference Committee, BTS 2026 and Founder & Chairman, Jananom Pvt. Ltd.; Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala, Institute Professor, IIT Madras; and Jagdish Patankar, Event Curator, Bengaluru Tech Summit 2026 and Executive Chairman, MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications Pvt. Ltd.

The dignitaries also interacted with Chennai`s technology and business community and discussed opportunities associated with Karnataka`s technology ecosystem and BTS 2026.

1,800+ Exhibitors and 25,000+ Delegates Expected

Building on nearly three decades of the Bengaluru Tech Summit, the 2026 edition is expected to bring together 1,800+ exhibitors, 25,000+ delegates, 1,000+ technology startups and more than 60,000 business visitors from 75+ countries and 30+ Indian States and Union Territories.

The three-day event will feature multiple thematic tracks covering areas such as Artificial Intelligence, DeepTech, Fintech, Health & Biotech, Spacetech, Electronics & Semiconductors and Global Collaboration.

Emerging areas including Digital Infrastructure and Data Centres, Circular Economy, Orange Economy and Electric Mobility will also receive attention during the summit.

Startup and Investor Opportunities

BTS 2026 will feature a large multi-pavilion exhibition showcasing innovations across various technology sectors. The summit will also provide networking opportunities, investor engagement programmes and platfoforms for international partnerships.

The Future Makers programme will be a key startup-focused initiative, connecting promising startups with investors, mentors and potential global markets. The programme is expected to include investor pitching sessions, mentoring clinics, discussions on fundraising and scaling, a Startup Showcase and the Future Makers Conclave.

Embedded World India to Make Debut

Another major highlight of BTS 2026 will be the co-location of the first India editions of embedded world India, organised by NuernbergMesse India.

The programme will focus on electronics, semiconductors and embedded systems, adding another important dimension to the summit`s technology portfolio.

Bengaluru Prepares for Global Technology Community

With an expanded exhibition, international delegations, startup programmes, investor engagements and multiple conference tracks, BTS 2026 is expected to provide a platform for technology companies, entrepreneurs, researchers, investors and policymakers to connect and explore new opportunities.

As Bengaluru prepares to host the technology community in November, the “AI & Beyond” theme reflects the summit`s broader focus on emerging technologies, innovation, global partnerships and the future of the digital economy.
