Rain Expected in 7 Tamil Nadu Districts Due to Low-Level Trough

A weak low-level atmospheric trough is prevailing along the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu, bringing the possibility of rain across several districts.

According to the Chennai Meteorological Centre, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds is likely at a few places in Chengalpattu, Viluppuram, Cuddalore, Kallakurichi, Tiruchirappalli, Ariyalur and Perambalur districts.

One or two places in the Delta districts, as well as Puducherry and Karaikal, may also receive thunderstorms, strong winds and light to moderate rain.

Elsewhere in Tamil Nadu, light rain with thunderstorms is likely at a few places.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay updated with the latest weather alerts issued by the meteorological authorities.
