TNEA Supplementary Counselling: Provisional Engineering Seat Allotment Issued to 8,895 Students

Provisional seat allotment has been issued to 8,895 students under the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) supplementary counselling. The allotments were made across academic and vocational categories, including the 7.5% government school quota.

Of the total provisional allotments, 8,823 students were allotted seats under the academic general category. Another 21 students from government schools received seats under the 7.5% quota.

Under the vocational stream, 129 students received provisional allotments under the vocational general category, while 12 government school students were allotted seats under the 7.5% vocational quota.

18,548 Students Eligible for Supplementary Counselling

The supplementary counselling process was conducted for 18,548 eligible students. The choice-filling process was held on September 4 and 5, allowing candidates to select their preferred engineering courses and colleges.

A total of 56,530 engineering seats were available for allotment during the counselling process.

The seat distribution was as follows:

Academic General: 53,668 seats

Vocational General: 2,731 seats

Academic Government: 31 seats

Vocational Government: 100 seats

TNEA Provisional Allotments Cross 1.53 Lakh

With the latest supplementary counselling allotments, the total number of provisional engineering seat allotments issued under TNEA has reached 1,53,280.

This figure includes allotments made through special reservation, general counselling and supplementary counselling.

SCA-to-SC Conversion Counselling Begins Today

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has also announced that choice filling for SCA-to-SC conversion counselling will begin today, September 10.

The conversion counselling is intended to fill seats that remain vacant under the reservation provided for Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyar) candidates.

Candidates participating in the TNEA SCA-to-SC conversion counselling are advised to complete the choice-filling process within the specified schedule and regularly check official admission updates.
