Southern Railway Cancels 49 Trains on Chennai–Arakkonam Route on June 27 & 28: Full List

Southern Railway has announced the cancellation of 49 electric and passenger train services on the Chennai Central–Arakkonam route on June 27 and 28 due to renovation work at the Arakkonam railway depot.

According to the railway authorities, 27 train services will remain cancelled on June 27, while 22 services will be cancelled on June 28. In addition, several suburban train services will be partially cancelled, affecting commuters travelling on one of Chennai`s busiest rail corridors.

Routes Affected

The disruption will impact electric and passenger train services operating between Chennai, Arakkonam, Tiruttani, Chengalpattu, Vellore, Katpadi, Tirupati, and several other destinations.

Train Cancellations on June 27

The following services have been cancelled:

- Passenger trains departing Arakkonam at 7:20 a.m. and 2:50 p.m.

- Electric trains departing Arakkonam at 4:00 a.m., 5:00 a.m., and 6:25 a.m. to Tiruttani

- Electric train departing at 6:50 a.m. to Chennai Beach

- Electric trains departing at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to Moore Market Complex

- Electric trains departing at 5:50 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. to Chengalpattu

- Passenger train departing at 9:15 a.m. to Tiruchendur

- Passenger train departing at 9:00 p.m. to Katpadi

- Passenger trains departing Moore Market Complex at 7:00 a.m. and 7:10 p.m. to Arakkonam

- Passenger train departing Katpadi at 4:30 a.m. to Arakkonam

- Passenger trains departing Vellore at 10:00 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. to Arakkonam

The following services have been cancelled:

- Passenger trains departing Arakkonam at 7:20 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. to Vellore

- Passenger train departing at 9:15 a.m. to Tirupati

- Electric trains departing at 4:00 a.m., 5:00 a.m., and 6:25 a.m. to Tiruttani

- Electric train departing at 6:50 a.m. to Chennai Beach
