Ajith Kumar’s Mother Mohini Mani Passes Away at 85 in Chennai

Actor Ajith Kumar’s mother, Mohini Mani, passed away in Chennai on May 30 at the age of 85 due to age-related health issues. The news has saddened fans and members of the Tamil film industry.

Mohini Mani, originally from Kolkata in West Bengal, belonged to the Sindhi community. She had reportedly been undergoing treatment for health complications associated with old age.

Ajith Kumar is currently in Dubai and is expected to arrive in Chennai soon after hearing the news of his mother’s demise.

Mohini Mani is survived by her three sons - Ajith Kumar, Anil Kumar and Anoop Kumar. Ajith’s father, P. Subramaniam, who hailed from Palakkad, Kerala, passed away in March 2023.

Ajith Kumar has also been running the Mohini-Mani Foundation in memory and honour of his parents.

Fans across Tamil Nadu have been expressing condolences and grief over the passing of Ajith Kumar’s mother.
