Heavy Rain Likely in 10 Districts of Tamil Nadu Today: Weather Department

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has forecast heavy rainfall in 10 districts of Tamil Nadu today due to favourable weather conditions across the State.

According to the latest weather update, heavy rain is likely in Nilgiris, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Tirupathur, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, and Namakkal districts.

The weather department has also warned of thunderstorms and gusty winds in several areas. The rainfall is expected to bring temporary relief from the intense summer heat that has affected many parts of Tamil Nadu in recent days.

Residents in low-lying and hilly regions have been advised to remain cautious as heavy rain may lead to waterlogging and localized disruptions. Authorities are closely monitoring the weather situation across the affected districts.
