Weather Update: Early Morning Fog Expected in Tamil Nadu on March 4 and 5
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has announced that moderate fog is likely to occur in a few places across the Western Ghats districts and coastal areas of Tamil Nadu on March 4 and March 5 during the early morning hours.
According to the weather department, a lower-level atmospheric circulation is currently prevailing over the Gulf of Mannar and nearby regions. In addition, an upper-level circulation over the central Bay of Bengal and the equatorial Indian Ocean is influencing the weather conditions across the region.
Due to these atmospheric systems, generally dry weather is expected across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal from March 4 to March 6.
However, light rainfall may occur in a few places in the Western Ghats districts and southern coastal districts of Tamil Nadu between March 7 and March 9.
In Chennai and its surrounding areas, the sky is likely to remain partly cloudy on Wednesday, with moderate fog expected in some places during the early morning hours.
