The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert across parts of Tamil Nadu for April 4 and April 5, warning residents to stay cautious.
As per the latest forecast, Coimbatore, Nilgiris, and Theni districts are expected to receive heavy rainfall today (April 4). The alert extends into tomorrow (April 5), with Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Erode, and Theni districts likely to witness heavy showers.
In addition, several other regions across Tamil Nadu, along with Puducherry and Karaikal, may experience light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.

In Chennai, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy, with temperatures hovering around 36–37°C (maximum) and 25–26°C (minimum).
