On Thursday, government authorities took decisive action near the Kathipara flyover, recovering government property valued at 800 crores. This 4.5-acre piece of government land had been encroached upon by private companies and commercial complexes, resulting in the construction of a bank and several houses without any lease agreement or compensation to the government. Acting swiftly, the Chengalpattu district administration directed the Pallavaram revenue officials to secure the property. In a joint operation on Thursday morning, revenue officials and local law enforcement sealed the commercial complex, bank, and several houses, underscoring the land`s substantial value of nearly 800 crores.
