Compared to regular days, the total devotees thronging to the Tirumala Thirupathi temple saw a dip in count yesterday.
From morning till evening 6 pm, the total number of devotees the shrine of Moolavar saw was 32,073. Furthermore, there were devotees in 12 compartments waiting for Dharma Dharisanam. They were all kept waited for over 10 hours.
Devotees who came on foot had to wait only for four hours. Those who made online booking for Rs 300 never had to wait and saw the lord hassle-free.
Though the total count of devotees was reduced yesterday, the total income the temple saw remained at high level of Rs 2.60 crore.
Renowned singer Mano visited the temple yesterday. Speaking to him, the singer said he got a chance to singe during the Brahmotsavam last year and he got a similar chance this year too. I consider it as a huge gift, he added.
