Special train from Chennai to Podanur on these very special days!!
On the occasion of Independence Day and Krishna Jayanthi, a special train will be operated from Chennai to Podanur and this was announced by the railways administration. It is known that arrangements are being made to celebrate Independence Day on 15TH August. Krishna Jayanthi falls on 16th August is known.
It was mentioned in a press release from the Salem Railway Divisional Administration that the Chennai Central- Podanur special train (No 06027) would depart from Chennai Central at 11:50 pm on 14th of August. The train would arrive at Podanur at 8:30am the next day.
Likewise in the reverse direction, Podanur- Chennai Central special train (No 06028) would depart from Podanur at 11:30pm on 17th August. The train would arrive at Chennai Central at 8:20am the next day.
Various stations the train would halt would be Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, Tiruvallur and Perambur.
