Toll Charges Increased at More Than 25 Toll Plazas in Tamil Nadu from Early This Morning

Tamil Nadu has increased toll charges at more than 25 toll plazas, including Vikravandi, from today (September 1).

More than 60 toll plazas operate in the state under the control of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Toll charges are generally revised twice a year.

Depending on the type of vehicle, one-way and monthly toll charges have been increased by ₹5 to ₹735.

At toll plazas including Vikravandi, Sengurichi, Walajabad, Samayapuram, Tiruchirappalli and Madurai, charges have been increased by ₹5 to ₹20, depending on the vehicle category.

The toll charge for lorries has increased from ₹380 to ₹400, while the charge for buses has been raised from ₹240 to ₹250.

For lorries, buses and other vehicles making a single trip, the toll charge has been increased by ₹10 from the existing rate. For vehicles making multiple trips on the same day, the charge has been increased by ₹15.
