Tamil Nadu SCERT Invites Public Feedback on Draft Curriculum for Classes 6 to 10

The Tamil Nadu State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has invited educators, teachers, students and members of the public to review and provide feedback on the newly developed draft curriculum for Classes 6 to 10.

The new curriculum and syllabi are being developed in accordance with the Tamil Nadu State Education Policy 2025. A high-level expert committee and curriculum design committees were constituted under the leadership of School Education Minister A Rajmohan to oversee the curriculum development process.

Following the guidance of these committees, SCERT has prepared draft curricula for Tamil, English, Mathematics, Science and Social Science for students studying in Classes 6 to 10.

Draft Curriculum Available Online

The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has made the draft curricula available on its official website from August 20. Educators, teachers, students, educationists and members of the public can review the proposed curriculum and share their views.

Those who wish to provide suggestions or comments can submit their feedback through the online feedback form available on the same website. Respondents are required to provide their personal details along with their suggestions and comments.

Feedback Deadline

The deadline for submitting feedback on the Tamil Nadu draft school curriculum is August 31.

The initiative provides an opportunity for teachers, students, educationists and the wider public to contribute their views before the curriculum development process moves forward.

The feedback received from stakeholders will help inform the ongoing process of developing the new curriculum for Classes 6 to 10 under the Tamil Nadu State Education Policy 2025.
