Chennai Airport: Abu Dhabi and London Flights Delayed by Over 2 Hours, 450+ Passengers Affected

Hundreds of passengers experienced long waiting hours at Chennai International Airport on Friday (July 3) after two international flights to Abu Dhabi and London were delayed by more than two hours due to the late arrival of incoming aircraft.

The Air Arabia Flight (Chennai–Abu Dhabi), scheduled to depart at 5:00 AM, finally took off at around 7:30 AM, affecting 186 passengers.

Similarly, the British Airways Flight (Chennai–London), scheduled for 5:30 AM, departed at approximately 7:30 AM after a delay of nearly two hours, impacting 268 passengers.

Passengers had completed check-in, security screening, and immigration formalities in the early hours of the morning before being informed of the delays, resulting in extended waiting time inside the airport terminal.
