Tamil Nadu Announces Free Mental Health Helpline for Students After NEET Results

Following the release of the NEET examination results, the Tamil Nadu Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine has announced a free mental health counselling service to support students and their parents.

Students who are experiencing stress, anxiety, disappointment, or emotional distress after the examination can receive professional guidance by contacting the toll-free helpline numbers 14416 or (91) 104.

The counselling service is also available to parents who need support in helping their children cope with exam-related pressure and future academic decisions.

The service is provided by qualified psychiatrists and mental health counsellors, who offer confidential guidance and emotional support to those in need.

The Health Department has encouraged students and parents not to hesitate to seek help if they are feeling overwhelmed. Timely counselling can help manage stress, improve emotional well-being, and support informed decision-making during this important stage of education.
