Tamil Nadu Weather: Moderate Rain Expected in Some Areas on March 17–18
The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has forecast light rainfall in parts of southern Tamil Nadu due to atmospheric circulation systems over the Lakshadweep area and the Gulf of Mannar.
According to the weather department, Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi districts may receive light rain at isolated places from March 14 to March 16. Meanwhile, dry weather is expected across the rest of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal during this period.
The forecast also states that on March 17, a few places in South Tamil Nadu and North Interior Tamil Nadu may experience moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning. On March 18, moderate rainfall may occur at isolated places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal regions.
In Chennai and its suburbs, the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy on Saturday.
Meteorologists also noted that maximum temperatures across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal may rise slightly until March 17.
