Chennai Passport Office to Conduct Special Tatkal Passport Camps on August 8

The Chennai Regional Passport Office has announced that Special Tatkal Passport Camps will be conducted on August 8 at selected Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) across Chennai and Puducherry to meet the growing demand for passport services and reduce appointment waiting times.

According to an official statement issued by the Chennai Regional Passport Office, the initiative aims to provide faster access to Tatkal passport appointments as the number of passport applications continues to rise.

Passport Seva Kendras Hosting the Special Camps

The Special Tatkal Passport Camps will be held at the following Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs):

- Chennai
- Saligramam
- Aminjikarai
 -Tambaram
- Puducherry

These special camps have been planned to improve service availability and reduce delays in Tatkal passport processing.

Additional Tatkal Appointment Slots

To benefit applicants, the Passport Office has increased the number of Tatkal appointment slots at selected Passport Seva Kendras.

The additional appointment allocations include:

Saligramam Passport Seva Kendra – 400 Tatkal appointments
Aminjikarai Passport Seva Kendra – 400 Tatkal appointments
Tambaram Passport Seva Kendra – 400 Tatkal appointments
Puducherry Passport Seva Kendra – 200 Tatkal appointments

The additional slots are expected to significantly reduce waiting times for applicants seeking urgent passport services.
