New Renault Triber Turbo Launched: Price, Mileage and Engine Details

Renault India has expanded the Triber lineup with a new turbo petrol version, addressing one of the key areas where the MPV previously had limited performance. The new Renault Triber Turbo is priced from Rs. 7.84 lakh (ex-showroom).

The updated Triber has also moved to Renault`s new RGEP platform. However, the overall high-roof design that has been a defining feature of the Triber continues to be retained.

New Turbo Petrol Engine

The Renault Triber Turbo is powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TCe turbo-petrol engine. It produces 99 bhp and 180 Nm of torque and is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Renault claims that the new Triber Turbo can deliver a mileage of up to 21 km per litre, making it one of the more fuel-efficient options in its segment.

Mechanical and Safety Updates

The changes are not limited to the new engine. Renault has also made several mechanical improvements to enhance the Triber`s driving characteristics.

The turbo version gets revised suspension tuning, updated anti-roll bars, a new thermal management system and structural improvements. The braking system has also been enhanced, while the calibration of the ABS, TCS and VDC systems has been revised.

These updates are aimed at improving the overall stability, braking performance and driving experience of the new turbo-petrol Triber.

Variants and Future Options

The Renault Triber Turbo is available in three variants: Evolution, Techno and Emotion.

Renault is also expected to introduce CNG and CVT versions of the Triber in the future, which would give buyers additional powertrain choices.
