Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated several development projects in Kolathur, Chennai, aimed at improving public infrastructure and civic facilities.
Under the North Chennai Development Scheme, projects worth ₹28.25 crore developed by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) were opened for public use. These include the upgraded Murasoli Maran Park, a memorial structure, a modern library, and a modern market in Kolathur.
In addition, projects implemented by the Greater Chennai Corporation worth ₹4.15 crore, including a new school building, a women’s gym, and a multipurpose community centre, were also inaugurated.
Upgraded sewage pumping station infrastructure developed by the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board at a cost of ₹12.48 crore was also opened, helping improve wastewater management in the area.
