Apollo Cancer Centre Launches Lung Cancer Screening Program
Apollo Cancer Centre (ACC) has introduced the "LungLife Screening Programme" to detect lung cancer early in high-risk individuals using low-dose computed tomography (LDCT).
Harshad Reddy, Director of Group Oncology at Apollo Hospitals, emphasized that most lung cancer cases are diagnosed at advanced stages, making treatment challenging. The program aims to improve survival rates and treatment outcomes by enabling early detection through LDCT and advanced imaging techniques.
