Final Safety Inspection Begins for Poovrindavalli–Vadapalani Metro Line
The final safety inspection for operating the metro train service between Poovrindavalli and Vadapalani will begin tomorrow and will be conducted over the next three days under the leadership of Railway Safety Commissioner A.M. Chowdhury.
During the inspection, key aspects such as braking systems, track quality, coach facilities, safety features, and construction standards will be thoroughly evaluated. On the third day, trial runs will be conducted at speeds of 80 to 90 kmph.
If the inspections are completed successfully, the unmanned metro train service between Poovrindavalli and Vadapalani is expected to commence soon. Officials stated that after the inspection report is submitted to the Union Government, the final steps to launch the service will be taken. The Railway Board has already approved metro operations on this stretch.
