A special spiritual tour train will be operated from Tamil Nadu on March 28 for devotees planning a pilgrimage to major religious destinations in North India. The train service is being arranged under the Bharat Gaurav tourist train initiative, in coordination with the Railways and private tour operators.
The special train will depart from Coimbatore and halt at several stations including Dindigul, Tiruchirappalli, Virudhachalam, Villupuram, and Chennai Egmore, before proceeding towards North India.
The 11-day pilgrimage tour will cover prominent spiritual destinations such as Varanasi, Ayodhya, Naimisaranya, Mathura, Brindavan, Haridwar, Devprayag, and Joshimath.
The tour package includes train travel, accommodation, food, and local transportation. The fare for the journey is approximately ₹45,950 per person in AC 3-tier class. Booking facilities are available through the tour organizers.
