JLR to Assemble Range Rover Evoque at New Tamil Nadu Plant from Feb 9

Jaguar Land Rover will begin assembling the Range Rover Evoque at Tata Motors’ new ₹9,000 crore Panapakkam plant in Tamil Nadu on February 9, marking a major shift in its India manufacturing strategy.
The facility, with an annual capacity of 2.5 lakh vehicles, will gradually take over JLR assembly from Pune and may support exports and future electric vehicle production. Initial Evoque output is expected to be under 10,000 units for the domestic market.
The move aims to strengthen JLR’s presence in India, a growing market for luxury SUVs, and improve competitiveness against global rivals.
