Tamil Nadu Credits Rs 5,000 to 1.31 Crore Women Under Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme

M. K. Stalin has announced that ₹5,000 has been credited to eligible women beneficiaries across Tamil Nadu under the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme.
Payment Breakdown:
₹1,000 – February monthly assistance
₹2,000 – Advance for March and April
₹2,000 – Special summer assistance
Total: ₹5,000
According to the official update, the amount has been transferred directly to the bank accounts of approximately 1.31 crore beneficiaries. The initiative aims to provide financial support and strengthen economic security for women across the state.
The government also indicated that the monthly assistance amount may be increased in the future as part of the next phase of the welfare program.
