Chennai Railway Reservation Centres to Follow Sunday Timings on August 26 for Onam

The Southern Railway’s Chennai Division has announced revised working hours for computerised Passenger Reservation System (PRS) centres in Chennai on August 26, 2026, due to the Onam festival.

According to the railway announcement, PRS centres under the Chennai Division will operate for one shift only, following the Sunday working pattern. The reservation centres will function from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 26.

Passengers planning to make train ticket reservations or other PRS-related transactions at railway reservation centres in Chennai are advised to take note of the revised timings and plan their visit accordingly.

The change in working hours applies specifically to the computerised Passenger Reservation Centres under the Chennai Division of Southern Railway. Passengers can also use online railway reservation services for ticket booking and other available services.
