Velankanni Festival Special Trains from Maharashtra: Timings and Routes

Special Trains Between Maharashtra and Velankanni for Annual Festival

Indian Railways will operate special trains between Maharashtra and Velankanni to accommodate passengers travelling to the annual Velankanni festival. The special services will provide additional connectivity from Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra to Velankanni during the festival period.

Bandra Terminus–Velankanni Special Train

The Bandra Terminus–Velankanni Special will depart from Bandra Terminus at 9:30 p.m. on August 27 and September 1. The train will reach Velankanni at 10:05 a.m. on the third day.

On the return journey, the train will depart from Velankanni at 12:45 a.m. on August 30 and September 4 and reach Bandra Terminus at 3 p.m. the following day.

The special train will stop at several important stations, including Borivali, Vasai Road, Panvel, Pune, Solapur, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Guntakal, Gooty, Renigunta, Katpadi, Vellore Cantonment, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Mayiladuturai and Nagappattinam, among others.

Valsad–Velankanni Special Train

Another special service, the Valsad–Velankanni Special, will depart from Valsad at 7:40 p.m. on September 6 and reach Velankanni at 10:05 a.m. on the third day.

For the return journey, the Velankanni–Dahanu Road Special will leave Velankanni at 3:10 p.m. on September 8 and reach Dahanu Road at 5:30 a.m. on the third day.

Train Reservations

Reservations for these Velankanni special trains will open at 8 a.m. on August 11.

The additional services are expected to benefit passengers travelling from Mumbai, Maharashtra and other parts of the State to Velankanni for the annual festival.
