Tamil Nadu Govt Hospitals to Introduce Online OP Booking; No More Long Queues for Patients

Patients visiting government hospitals in Tamil Nadu may soon no longer have to wait in long queues for OP registration. The State Health Department is planning to introduce an online OP ticket booking system through a dedicated mobile application.

According to Health Minister Arunraj, patients will be able to book appointments online using their Aadhaar details before visiting the hospital. The initiative aims to reduce waiting time, improve patient convenience, and streamline outpatient services across government hospitals.

The proposed digital healthcare service is expected to benefit thousands of patients every day, especially senior citizens, working professionals, and persons with disabilities. The online OP booking system will also help reduce overcrowding and improve the overall efficiency of healthcare delivery in Tamil Nadu.

The new facility is expected to be rolled out soon as part of the state`s ongoing efforts to modernize healthcare services and enhance patient experience in government hospitals.
