Chennai Gold Rate Today: 22K Gold Rises ₹200 Per Gram on August 20, 2026

Chennai gold prices increased sharply on Thursday, August 20, 2026, according to the latest morning rates released by the Madras Jewellers & Diamond Traders Association (MJDTA).

The 22-carat gold rate increased by ₹200 per gram, rising from ₹14,400 to ₹14,600 per gram. The 18-carat gold rate also gained ₹200, moving from ₹12,180 to ₹12,380 per gram.

Silver prices also moved higher today. The silver rate increased by ₹10 per gram, from ₹250 to ₹260 per gram.
