Chennai Home Guards Invites Applications
The Greater Chennai Home Guards has opened applications for men and women residents of Chennai. Candidates must be aged 18–50 as of October 1, 2025, have studied up to class 10, and maintain good conduct with no criminal record.
Selected applicants will undergo 45 days of training (one hour daily) and assist police in local duties. A special allowance of Rs 560 will be paid per callout for duties like night patrol, traffic regulation, and day patrol.
Application forms are available free at the Home Guard office, Saidapet Police Station. Completed forms must be submitted by post or in person before 5 pm on November 30 at the Greater Chennai Home Guard Office, J1 Saidapet Police Station Complex, Anna Salai, Saidapet, Chennai-15.
