Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay Begins Britain Visit: Silverstone Visit and Investment Focus

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay has left for Britain on a week-long visit, marking his first foreign trip since assuming office. His itinerary includes a visit to the Silverstone Motor Racing Circuit to study its design, safety features and commercial maintenance practices.

The visit comes after the State government`s announcement to establish a world-class Motor Sports City in Tamil Nadu. Vijay may also meet actor Ajith Kumar, who is scheduled to participate in a racing event at Silverstone.

A key focus of the Tamil Nadu CM`s Britain visit is attracting investments in electric vehicle manufacturing, Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and electronics. The government said these investments could create significant employment opportunities.

The visit will also seek to strengthen Tamil Nadu-UK business relations and promote new investments and technical cooperation under the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). Vijay is scheduled to return to Chennai on September 17.
