Chennai Gold Rate Today, August 21, 2026: Gold Prices Rise, Silver Also Gains

Chennai gold prices increased on Friday, August 21, 2026, according to the latest morning rates released by the Madras Jewellers & Diamond Traders Association (MJDTA). Both 22-carat and 18-carat gold prices moved higher, while the silver rate also recorded an increase.

As per the latest MJDTA rates updated on August 21, 2026, the 22-carat gold rate increased by ₹110 per gram, reaching ₹14,710 per gram. The 18-carat gold rate also rose by ₹110 per gram to ₹12,490 per gram.

The silver rate increased by ₹5 per gram, reaching ₹265 per gram.
