Annan Seer Scheme Application Website to Be Launched Soon

A dedicated website for applying under the Annan Seer Scheme will be launched soon, Women Welfare and Development Minister Jagadeeswari said on October 5.

Speaking about the scheme, the Minister said the government has issued an order approving the provision of 8 grams of gold and a silk saree to women getting married under the Annan Seer Scheme.

She also said that a website will soon be introduced through which beneficiaries can apply for and avail themselves of the benefits under the scheme.

The Minister further stated that the government has allocated Rs.812 crore in the first phase for the implementation of the scheme.

It had earlier been announced that applications for the Annan Seer Scheme could be submitted only through the website. Accordingly, work is currently underway to create a dedicated webpage for the scheme.

The Tamil Nadu government is expected to launch the Annan Seer Scheme application website soon.
