Simple Wave Electric Scooter Launched in India with Up to 243 Km Range

The new Simple Wave electric scooter has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 1,09,999 (ex-showroom). It is the brand’s first electric scooter designed specifically for family use.

The new Simple Wave is available in three variants, with deliveries scheduled to begin from September 25.

The scooter features a boxy design, which is different from the sharper and sportier styling seen on other Simple scooters. It gets a large 920mm seat and a spacious footboard for added practicality. The under-seat storage offers 70 litres of capacity, while two additional storage compartments are integrated into the exterior panels. A small hidden storage space is also provided in the apron area.

The Simple Wave is powered by a 6.4kW motor and has a claimed top speed of 90kmph. The Wave and Wave Plus variants can accelerate from 0-40kmph in 3.3 seconds, while the Wave S takes 4 seconds.

The Wave S EBN and S TFT variants are available with 2.2kWh and 2.7kWh battery options, offering claimed ranges of 110km and 132km, respectively.

The Wave EBN and TFT variants get a 3.7kWh battery and offer a claimed range of up to 171km.

The range-topping Wave Plus comes with a 5kWh battery and offers a claimed range of up to 243km.
