Tamil Nadu Government Schools Record 4.23 Lakh New Student Admissions

The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has announced that 4.23 lakh students have newly enrolled in government schools across the State, reflecting a significant number of admissions for the academic year.

According to the department, 2,94,209 students have joined Class 1 in Tamil Nadu government schools.

In addition, 88,515 students have enrolled in Classes 2 to 8, contributing to the overall rise in new admissions.

The latest figures highlight continued enrolment in Tamil Nadu government schools, particularly at the primary level, where Class 1 accounts for a major share of new admissions.
