Class 12 Public Exam Student Details Can Be Corrected Until October 16

The Directorate of Government Examinations has instructed that corrections in the student name list for the Class 12 public examination in Tamil Nadu can be made until October 16.

The process of preparing the list of students appearing for the Class 12 public examination during the current academic year 2026-27 has begun. Details such as the students’ names, dates of birth and photographs uploaded on the EMIS portal will be used for preparing the list.

Therefore, all higher secondary school headmasters have been instructed to verify and confirm these details by October 16. If there are any errors, the necessary corrections must be made immediately.

The names and dates of birth of Class 12 students must be uploaded based on copies of their Class 10 mark certificates submitted to the school. When uploading a student’s name in Tamil, the initial must also be entered in Tamil.

Students appearing for the examination must have completed 16 years of age on the first day of the month in which the examination is conducted.

The mark certificates will be printed based on the student name list. Therefore, the concerned class teacher and school headmaster will be responsible for any errors in the students’ details. The examination department has advised that requests for corrections should not be sent after the mark certificates have been issued.
