No Change in LPG Refill Booking Rules, Government Clarifies
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has clarified that there is no change in LPG cylinder refill booking rules, putting an end to confusion caused by viral messages circulating on social media.
According to the official clarification, reports claiming changes in LPG booking intervals are incorrect and misleading. The government confirmed that the existing system will continue without any modifications.
As per current rules, the minimum gap between two LPG refill bookings remains 25 days in urban areas and 45 days in rural areas. These timelines are unchanged and continue to be followed across the country.
Officials have also urged the public not to panic or rush to book cylinders unnecessarily, stating that there is adequate LPG supply available to meet demand. Panic booking based on rumours could disrupt the supply chain and create unnecessary pressure on distributors.
The government emphasized that consumers should rely only on official announcements and avoid spreading unverified information.
