MBBS, BDS Admissions 2026: 70,485 Students Apply, Applications Lower Than Last Year

A total of 70,485 students have applied for MBBS and BDS admissions in Tamil Nadu for the 2026–27 academic year, marking a slight decline compared to 72,743 applications received last year.

Among the total applicants, 40,760 have applied under the Government Quota, while 29,725 have submitted applications under the Management Quota.

The final merit list will be prepared and published based on the NEET rank and marks uploaded by the candidates. Admissions to MBBS and BDS courses will be carried out according to the published merit list and the subsequent counselling process.
