Chennai - Kollam Special Trains Announced for Onam 2026

Indian Railways has announced special trains between Chennai and Kollam to accommodate the increased passenger demand during the Onam festival season. These additional services will provide more travel options for passengers travelling between Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

The Chennai–Kollam special train will operate on Wednesdays from August 12 to September 2, 2026. The train will depart from Chennai at 3:10 PM and reach Kollam at 7:20 AM the following day.

In the return direction, the Kollam–Chennai special train will operate on Thursdays from August 13 to September 3, 2026. It will depart from Kollam at 10:40 AM and arrive at Chennai Central at 3:30 AM the next day.
