Toll Fee Hike in Tamil Nadu from Tomorrow: NHAI Announces Revised Charges
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced an increase in toll charges across several highways in Tamil Nadu starting from tomorrow.
According to reports, toll fees will be revised at more than 60 toll plazas located on major national highways, including key routes such as Vanagaram and Thooppur. The revised toll rates are expected to increase by ₹25 to ₹100 depending on the category of the vehicle.
The toll hike will apply to cars, jeeps, commercial vehicles, buses, trucks, and other heavy vehicles using national highways across the state.
Officials stated that the revision is part of the routine toll rate update carried out periodically by NHAI. The increase is expected to impact daily commuters, transport operators, and logistics companies that frequently use highway routes in Tamil Nadu.
Vehicle owners and travellers are advised to check updated toll charges before planning long-distance journeys.
